This is a great game... Great animation, very stimulating and challenging. This game is more of a time management game, and although there is fighting (war), it is really clean. I would let a small child play this. Although I do not think a small child could play this, my son began playing this when he was about 10 years old or so. Not only can you play on the PC, but you can play online as well with your friends/family. This game will keep you busy for hours on end. Make sure you go on the UBI Soft website and download the patches. This will keep you from needing the disc to play, etc. Not really happy with any of the other Settlers games, just stick with this one. This is a winner.. -- The Settlers: Rise of an Empire
i bought this game at best buy for 50$ not worth the money. then we had to buy a new motherboard. i was even more shocked when i saw that it was only 10 bucks on amazon. anyway the game has great graphics great plot if you like medieval strategy games you are not going to want to miss this -- good game good prise

My 10yo son likes the The Settlers game. He plays it as much as we let him! -- fun for kids
