User Reviews about Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
I am a big N64 Collector. I constantly look for Sealed NIB Games and Consoles. I had been looking everywhere for Shadows of the Empire. Found only 2 on Amazon and this one had me sold. Seller was dead on with the description of the item and the I literally received the item the next day.
Thanks So Much!!! -- Awesome Seller.
Ok, lets get this straight. This is one of the (two, three, four...) Five games I played as a child on the Nintendo 64. I know what you're thinking (this kid doesnt know jack he has no variety!!!) Let me tell you this... I KNOW WHO ROBERT JOHNSON IS!!!!! HE'S A BLUES GUITAR SINGER ALONG WITH: CHARLEY PATTON, ED BELL, PETTIE WHEETSTRAW, BLIND LEMON JEFFERSON, & A WHOLE MESS OF OTHERS!!!! So dont say I dont know jack, I even know about the French-Indian war. But im going into a tanjun, so Shadows of the empire was a game i remember as a todler at the turn of the century(because this was really all i had then besides my GBA is 03'). So this game follows the story of Kyle Katarn, a friend of Han Solos who is in the battle at hoth. (Assuming this takes place between ep. V & VI) After the battle you land in the rebel base, and are put in a 3rd person view of Kyle, (who i think looked badass) the objective: to get to your ship the rouge shadow. (i think) And escape hoth before the empire gets you. The first thing i notice now is how good the controls are for SOE (sorta like sarges heroes[is heroes spelt right?])Upon escape you encounter wampas snow troopers w/ laser machine guns & rifles, & for the boss fight a chicken walker. In the level you can get power-ups for your blaster like the purple machine ball gun upgrade or the green laser upgrade even a rocket upgrade!!! SOOoo I would say go out & buy this game you wont regret it! Dont listen to the critics, & go play a well done N64 game!!! -- LISTEN UP!!!
Thankyou for the prompt service on this purchase it was received and works well. We will be purchaseing from you again. -- Star Wars
I got this game about a week after i got my nintendo 64 and Super Mario 64. I was 12 years old and i was obsessed with Star Wars. I was so excited to have a star wars game in 3D and on Nintendo!
The game is tough! The control isnt really that great, but back then i didnt care, i wanted to get through the game and find all the secrets. i wanted to explore the world of star wars through this game.
The graphics are not all that great, but they work. For being a launch title, it wasnt that bad. But going back and playing it now, i cant help to notice the flaws.
The music really draws you into the game. Its not suprising with a star wars product though.
I wasnt a fan of Dash Rendar or whatever his name was. I wanted to use a lightsaber in this game.
The boss battles in this game are insanely tough! I couldnt get passed Bobba Fett for weeks. I havent even played it on the hardest difficulty.
This is a great game, and it shouldnt be bashed as much as it is. -- A favorite N64 game of mine...
